Directs the Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute business operations related to revenue cycle, new and current business strategy analysis to maximize resources that provide the best return on investment to support the mission of WVU Medicine.
Job Description MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Information, or Nursing 2. Certification in Project Management or Process Improvement (ex. Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma) EXPERIENCE: 1. Seven (7) years of experience in healthcare positions with knowledge of program development, marketing, information technology, and strategic analysis. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE: 1. Master's Degree in business, healthcare or other related field. 2. Experience working with EPIC. 3. Three (3) years of experience working in an academic medical center setting or hospital with 250+ beds and knowledge of service line development across a system network. Provides leadership, direction, evaluation and support to RNI revenue cycle, academic affairs and market and strategy analytics. 2. Identifies and implements solutions in areas of opportunities and coordinates improvement activities to gain operational and clinical efficiencies. 3. Hires, fires manages and evaluates the performance of employees. Responsible for all human resource functions of assigned department(s). 4. Responsible for operational optimization of revenue cycle and related financial activities 5. Completes monitoring and evaluation of potential new services and sites of expansion, as well as evaluation of existing services and sites and provides feedback to RNI leadership. 7. Maximizes RNI revenue cycle and clinical and financial accountability through process improvement of provider documentation, coding, billing, denials management, templates, EPIC and IT resources. 8. Oversees the RNI business operation strategy in conjunction with the WVU Hospitals financial team, including budget management and contract negotiations. 9. Partners with WVUHS telemedicine for standardization of RNI operations. 10. Develops community educational services and partnerships to improve referral performance for RNI services and sites. 11. Oversees all Project Management of new services and departments 12. Strong Computer skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint - EPIC preferred.
