Government Sales Support

Position location is flexible and may office from any branch in the USA

Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 8:00am - 5:00pm

OVERVIEW:

Working as Full-time Government Sales Support, you will assist our Fastenal locations and their Sales Specialists as they look to develop their book of business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

o Assisting with sourcing, quoting and product cross referencing

o Assisting with vendor development and pricing negotiation when large opportunities are presented

o Assisting with government customer inquiries regarding Fastenal.com, government contracts and a variety of sales topics

o Assisting with customer requests and connecting them with local sales teams

o Assisting with usage reports, account linking and tax issues

o Contributing to the growth and improvement of the government sales department

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

o Possess or are working towards a Business related degree OR have customer service experience

o Excellent written and oral communication skills

o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite

o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities

o Demonstrate strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills

o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency

o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

o Work independently as well as in a team environment

o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented

o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork

o Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs

o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

FULL-TIME BENEFITS:

Fastenal offers a competitive benefits package to all full-time employees. This package includes Health, Life, Long Term Disability, and Dental Insurance, in addition to, paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, and 401(k) with an employer contribution.

COMPENSATION:

The base pay range for this position is $35,000 - 60,000. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
