Senior Enterprise Data Consultant - Data Quality

At First Citizens Bank, our commitment to data integrity and governance is foundational to how we serve our clients and manage risk. We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Quality Analyst to support the implementation of our enhanced Data Quality framework. This role will play a key part in advancing our data quality capabilities, defining new processes and procedures, and building our new data quality platforms. The individual will partner directly with Data Stewards, business partners, and technical teams to understand applicability of business rules and implement the necessary data quality controls.

• Data profiling - Lead efforts to evaluate new and existing data sources to define and maintain data quality requirements
• Data Enhancement - Leads the implementation of enhancements for the quality and management of enterprise data. Executes initiatives that improve profiling, exception reporting, and issue resolution as well as general fixes for the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
• Partnership - Partner with data stewards, business, and technical partners to identify and maintain applicable business rules
• Business Support - Enforces data policies and procedures across the enterprise. Encourages discussion and feedback from associates in order to identify areas of improvement within data management capabilities. Completes month-end validations on reporting data to ensure the quality and completeness of data prior to business use. May assist in training or mentoring less experienced consultants in the work group.
• Advocacy - Advocate for Enterprise Data Governance Policy, Standards, and best practices. Champion the advancement of data as an asset.

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Data Management, Data Analytics OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Data Management, Data Analytics
• Deep understanding of data management best practices including data warehousing and ETL processes
• Direct experience implementing data quality rules in enterprise standard tools such as Informatica, Collibra, Attacama, etc.
• Proven experience with data profiling and development of business and data quality rules
• Exceptional communication skills, ability to present complicated data requirements in simplistic terms with business and technical partners
• Foster an environment of collaboration and shared success

Preferred skills

• Financial Services experience and understanding of various financial products
• Experience with multiple coding languages, tools and platforms (SQL, Python, SAS, R, PowerQuery/Power BI, Snowflake, Netezza, AWS, dbt, Powercenter.)
• Experience developing business requirements, governance policies and internal procedures with cross-functional teams
