Full-time, 40 Hours/Week Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm Onsite - Akron Summary: The Associate Major Gifts Officer cultivates and solicits individual donor prospects who are capable of contributing major and/or planned gifts starting at $25,000. Responsibilities: 1. Cultivates and solicits individual donor prospects who are capable of contributing major and/or planned gifts starting at $25,000. 2. Develops and implements a strategic fundraising plan for major and planned gifts which complements the other fundraising programs of Akron Children's Hospital Foundation. 3. Other duties as required. Other information: Technical Expertise 1. Experience in professional major gifts [$25,000 or higher] fundraising with a proven record of successful results is required; healthcare fundraising is preferred. 2. Experience with donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship is required. 3. Experience in planned giving and knowledge of tax laws and basic financial strategies is preferred. 4. Travel and valid Ohio driver's license is required. 5. Experience working with all levels within an organization is required. 6. Experience in healthcare is preferred. 7. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Database management software is required; Raiser's Edge software is preferred.
Education and Experience 1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field is required; Master's degree is preferred. 2.
