Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager of IAM Product Management & Support.

In this role, the Manager of IAM Product Management and Support, is responsible for maximizing the value for our Identity and Access Management (IAM) product and services at the program level in a scaled agile model. Key responsibilities include managing the roadmap for the IAM portfolio, defining and prioritizing the features in the program backlog, and articulating this to both stakeholders and development teams. This role works closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, and with IAM Engineers to ensure they are aligned on priorities. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in identity and access security coupled with a proven track record of product management and support services. You will work closely with the executive team to define product vision, translate it into a compelling roadmap, and drive exceptional execution to achieve our ambitious growth objectives.
This is a manager role reporting to the Senior Director of Identity, Access, and Network Security.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages a team of product owners and support personnel to drive high performance and product excellence for identity and access management.
  • Develops and maintains a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing features and initiatives based on changing customer needs, market trends, and business goals.
  • Drives the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring timely and successful delivery of high-quality products.
  • Partners with engineers, QA, UX, etc. to deliver high quality products in line with user and stakeholder needs.
  • Applies comprehensive knowledge of identity and access security principles, processes, and best practices within a complex organizational environment.
  • Drives business process automation initiatives within the identity and access management framework to improve the end user experience, enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Oversees the development and ongoing deployment of multi-factor authentication (MFA) security measures across the portfolio of on-premise and cloud-based applications to strengthen user authentication.
  • Manages the product backlog, ensuring clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritization based on business value and technical feasibility.
  • Develop and deliver clear and concise presentation materials to communicate strategy, progress, and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Manages vendor relationships, licensing, and support escalations
  • Establishes and monitors product metrics aligned to product and business strategy, interpreting and responding to data with product recommendations.
  • Utilizes product management tools to document and manage requirements and acceptance criteria, and track progress against the roadmap.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Seven or more years of experience in IT Security with expert understanding of security practices related to identity and access management.
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Four plus years of Product Management experience
Experience working with Duo MFA, Sailpoint, Entra or similar platforms.
Experience with business process automation tools and techniques.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Able to function well in an autonomous environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing and mentoring product management teams.
Experience with cloud-based identity security solutions.
Experience with agile development methodologies.
Experience with academic medical center is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Master of Science degree in Computer/Information Systems, Information Technology or related field Computer Science, Computer/Information Systems, Information Technology, Cyber Security or related field.
* Information Security certifications such as CISSP or CISA

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $117,107.95 - $168,131.25 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
