INTERN, CONFERENCE PROGRAMMING

What you'll do.

As an Intern in Conference Programming, you'll dive into the dynamic world of event coordination and management. You'll collaborate with and learn from our Conferences and Meetings team and external experts, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in organizing and overseeing conferences. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn the ropes of professional conference management while actively contributing to the success of our events.

What we look for.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Currently enrolled in an educational institution as a student pursuing the fulfillment of a degree in Communications, Hospitality, Tourism or other related field is required.

Experience:

  • Work (or course work) experience in meeting and event coordination is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. is required.
  • Follows through with work activities, dependable and focused on getting things done to achieve goals, and maintaining the highest ethical standards is required.
  • Demonstrated high level commitment to customer service is required.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work is required
  • Proficiency in event planning software (Cvent, A2Z Events, etc.) is preferred.
  • Experience coordinating multiple competing priorities and projects at once on a frequent basis is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS office suite including Outlook and Teams is preferred.

Travel Requirements: No travel required.

Location: Minneapolis, MN and is identified as hybrid (required to work in the office with the ability to work remotely part of the week)
