Position Summary:

As our Director of Quality, you will be responsible for the Quality Management System, maintaining our AS / ISO certifications, and leading the quality team. Using innovation, creation, installation, maintenance, equipment, engineering personnel, and KPI's to ensure we meet our customer requirements. This position is key for coordinating the customer interface between application engineering, customer service, and the engineering group.

Qualifications & Requirements:



  • BS Degree required with a Minimum of 8 years of quality-related experience
  • Compiles and uses data, databases, ERP systems, spreadsheets, etc., to communicate and drive enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Ability to direct quality resources to develop and implement test and inspection programs to meet customer, industry, and regulatory standards across the manufacturing sites
  • Commitment to Winchester's values of accountability, collaboration, and empowerment
  • Support Winchester's long-term organic Growth goals by establishing a robust Quality strategy that impacts Revenue & EBITDA, OTD, and Quality KPIs
  • Oversee and support the Quality team to ensure 100% quality effectiveness for our customers and their high-cost-of-failure applications
  • Analytical thinker with demonstrated technical ability to perform root cause analysis, prepare and implement action plans, lead improvement initiatives, and interface with customers' technical resources
  • Experience in conducting audits and compliance assessments.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team
  • Experience in vendor and supplier quality management.

  • Support our Strategic Quality Management System (QMS): Formulate a comprehensive QMS strategy that encompasses both short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Establish and Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Define clear, measurable KPIs that reflect the effectiveness of the quality management system. Implement regular reporting cadences, identify trends, and informed decision-making. Ensure that reports are tailored to the needs of the business and provide actionable insights.
  • Align Departmental Resources with Strategic Objectives: Assess current departmental capabilities and align resources with the organization's short-term and long-term growth strategies. Implement cross-training initiatives to enhance flexibility and ensure that personnel are equipped to meet evolving quality demands. Regularly review resource allocation to maintain alignment with strategic goals.
  • Process Improvement & Optimization: Analyze existing QA processes to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction without compromising quality.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Management: Ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards through regular audits and assessments
