After the successful completion of the six-month probationary period, salary will be increased to the base salary of $62,286. The full pay range for this position is $62,286 - $92,735. The Fire Department works a Kelly schedule, which operates on a repeating 9-day cycle. In this schedule, each shift works three 24-hour shifts within the cycle. These shifts are separated by 24 hours off between each workday. After the third 24-hour shift, employees receive four consecutive days off before the cycle begins again. ![]() Under the supervision of the Fire Captain provides rapid fire-suppression response to protect life and property by controlling and extinguishing fires. Persons in this position also respond and render aid to medical emergencies, natural disasters and other emergencies in addition to maintaining fire equipment and providing training to the public on fire and life safety education. This position is classified as non-exempt and is subject to the Fair Labor Standards Act overtime regulations.
Equipment Operated: Frequent use of fire and medical equipment including hose lines, nozzles, pumps, hydrants, extinguishers, ladders, hand tools, extrication tools, air masks, defibrillator, etc. Reporting Relationship: This position reports to the Fire Captain. Working Conditions:
