Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an ambitious Business Development Director with demonstrated success identifying and qualifying new business opportunities within the US Cyberspace Command marketspace. As a key member in our Cyber Mission Sector, you will provide leadership, critical thought, and a strategic mindset to winning business opportunities. You will partner with strategy, capture teams, program management teams, and functional leadership to develop account growth vectors, customer engagements, win strategies, solutions, and proposals. Success in this role is ultimately measured by meeting and exceeding acquisition and financial targets aligned to company goals.

Responsibilities:

    Lead US Cyberspace Command growth efforts focused on achieving new business sales goals.
  • Execute the Peraton Business Acquisition Process in daily activities and effectively manage and communicate all the opportunities and plans for management and technical teams.
  • Partner with Business Unit Leaders to identify and target new business markets, adjacencies, and partnerships that align with strategic growth plans.
  • Develop and maintain an active strategic growth plan, including account strategies aligned with Sector and Corporate strategies and goals, and manage an associated pipeline to drive execution of the strategy.
  • Build, mature and maintain key customer relationships within the customer's organizations and organizations supporting the customer's requirements.
  • Serve as the primary interface with the customer community for assigned opportunities and customers, coordinating engagements.
  • Assist in guiding potential customers by demonstrating technology solutions, architectures, capabilities, and potential acquisition paths for early-stage opportunities, working with internal technical and program management teams to develop responses for requests for information (RFI), market surveys, white papers, presentations, briefings, and major event demonstrations.
  • Oversee a business development staff of matrixed resources that engage in complex functional activities that will have a major impact on meaningful and measurable revenue growth through winning new business and contracts.
  • Cooperate with other leaders across the Cyber Mission sector and the Peraton enterprise to maintain consistent messaging with customers and drive overall enterprise success.
  • Develop and deliver reports and briefs as required.
  • Travel as required by business need.


Qualifications

Required

  • 16 years of business development, capture or related professional experience with a minimum of two years of experience with US Cyberspace Command.
  • Deep understanding of the US Cyberspace Command customer's missions across their entire enterprise.
  • Highly effective communicator at all levels within the company and with clients.
  • Proven success with the business acquisition process, from identifying an opportunity through pursuit, program startup and ongoing program execution.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI accessibility; Poly eligible.

Desired

  • Master's Degree
  • A demonstrated successful track record of supporting or winning contracts $50M+ supporting the US Cyberspace Command customer.
  • Operational experience with the signals intelligence and/or cyber mission space.
  • Active clearance and Poly with a US Cyberspace Command or MPO affiliated customer.
  • Existing relationships with US Cyberspace Command customers.

Target Salary Range

$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
