GENERAL SUMMARY

Under supervision and following established policies and department procedures, provides accounting and selected supervisory responsibilities, including the following functional duties:

DIRECT REPORTS

The incumbent has no direct reports; however, the Accounting & Regulatory Reporting Officer team members and oversees certain financial and regulatory reporting and accounting functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Prepare quarterly and annual request list used in the preparation of the FDIC Call report, FRB FR Y-9C & LP reports.
  • Assist in the preparation and updates of the Call Report, FR Y-9C & LP schedules.
  • File FR Y-10 reports when necessary/required and FR Y-6 annually.
  • Prepare and file quarterly FFIEC 009 County Risk filing.
  • Prepare foreign entities/offices general ledger mapping, ensure proper elimination of intercompany transactions.
  • Coordinate and manage the monthly process for recording accruals, preparing certain accrual balances, communicating requests to various departments, reviewing the appropriateness of accrued balances provided by the departments, and preparing journal entries.
  • Gather and compile monthly loan charge-off and recovery data and reconcile against loan reports and general ledger for completeness and accuracy.
  • Assist with investment accounting and recording of principal and interest payments.
  • Assist with investment accounting reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Solar tax credit accounting and reconciliation.
  • Venture capital accounting and reconciliation
  • Prepare monthly warrant valuation journal entries.
  • Work with external and internal auditors and SOX and prepare documentation to support audit requests.
  • Assist with technical accounting research and documentation of new policies and procedures.
  • Manage other ad-hoc reports and schedules for non-quarter end months.
  • Undertake special projects assigned by the CFO, CAO and Controller.



QUALIFICATIONS



  • Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience required and within a banking environment preferred. Experience in preparing Regulatory filings, including the Call Report, FR Y-9C and FR Y-9LP.
  • Skills/Ability: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Organized and detail-oriented. Working knowledge in accounting and regulatory filing requirements. Work independently and in a team environment. Ability to make certain decisions in absence of management guidance.

$33.17 - $37.02 / hour
Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
