Daikin Applied is seeking an HVAC Area Parts Store Manager! This Area Parts Store Manager will be responsible for the Daikin Applied Philadelphia parts store and two New York City locations (Long Island City and Brooklyn). The HVAC Area Parts Store Manager will oversee multiple HVAC parts store location. This position will work to set the strategy of their local territory, as well as implementing that strategy to ensure growth. The Area Parts Store Manager will also drive revenue and profits and to achieve store goals, including revenue growth, margins, and profits. Location: In office in the Philadelphia, Long Island City, and Brooklyn parts stores

What you will do:



  • Create a comprehensive marketing strategy for stores within territory and determine the most efficient avenues to achieve or exceed overall revenue goals
  • Work with Store Manager(s) in territory to determine the inventory mix based on current market, future market trends, and customer needs, along with making sure that inventory mix is maintained
  • Research and analyze the area market for new store expansions and expands in their defined territory by opening new stores, as needed
  • Meet overall area revenue and operating income plans; manage the SG&A, monitor margins and product lines closely, and take corrective action to reverse any margin degradation, and target areas for growth
  • Plan, develop, and implement operational policies and goals for all stores
  • Responsible for interviewing, selecting, performance managing, developing, onboarding, and providing ongoing training for store managers and other store personnel as needed
  • Coordinate with local and corporate vendors to provide product training for area store employees and customers
  • Create solutions to customer needs by providing overall technical support and researching options including, but not limited to, receiving and processing orders, product and service questions, warranty administration and overall customer service
  • Work with District General Manager to support the parts and aftermarket needs of service and equipment sales business units
  • Work with local store managers to price inventory competitively while maintaining a profit margin
  • Create marketing initiatives to promote and give visibility to Daikin Aftermarket offerings and stores
  • Act as Store Manager when needed
  • Act as a project manager to ensure new stores and relocations are completed as scheduled
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent technical experience with HVAC Parts
  • 8+ years of HVAC and/or sales experience
  • 4+ year of previous management experience strongly desired
  • Ability to drive a forklift or forklift certified is preferred

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Management experience within a retail business
  • Leadership with direct reports within the HVAC or mechanical contracting industries

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $107,900 - $178,400 in New York/New Jersey. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, this position is eligible for a sales incentive plan.
