Specific areas of direct responsibilities include employee relations, benefits and payroll administration, attendance and leaves of absence policy administration, compensation/salary administration, organization and development, performance management, training, EEO/AA compliance, diversity, relocation, record keeping and special projects. Responsible for the confidentiality of sensitive personnel data, accurately interpret laws and regulations and consistently apply practices and procedures set forth by Aspire Bakeries LLC. Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations & Performance Management - Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR matters, investigate and resolve workplace issues, facilitate disciplinary processes, and develop performance improvement plans while ensuring uniform policy application.
- HR Process Administration - Manage core HR functions including payroll processing, timecard oversight, benefits administration, leave management (FMLA, COBRA), and employment verification requests.
- Strategic HR Support - Assess workforce impact of business decisions, develop strategies to reduce turnover and improve employee experience, and ensure people-perspective is represented in organizational planning.
- Benefits & Compensation Management - Administer employee benefits programs, conduct open enrollment processes, maintain knowledge of health/welfare plans and compensation structures, and coordinate with corporate payroll on exceptions.
- Compliance & Legal Affairs - Ensure adherence to labor laws, ADA, FMLA, CFRA, and other regulatory requirements while investigating harassment/discrimination claims and managing risk mitigation strategies.
- Training & Development - Support ongoing HR team needs, stay current on labor law changes through seminars and briefings, and complete special projects as assigned by HR management.
Qualifications:
- Education Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field preferred (or advanced certificates in Human Resources management); equivalent combination of education, experience, and training considered.
- Communication & Leadership Excellence - Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to clearly convey information to all organizational levels; demonstrates confidence, inspires trust, and motivates others while accepting and providing constructive feedback.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Expertise - Outstanding analytical abilities to develop, implement, and track HR systems; skilled in conflict resolution and interpreting legal documents and publications to inform decision-making.
- Professional Experience Requirements - Minimum 5 years progressive HR experience with demonstrated success in delivering results and implementing change initiatives; minimum 2 years personnel management experience with proven success in leading quality improvement projects.
- Employment Law & Compliance Knowledge - Current, broad knowledge of employment laws and practices including FLSA, Wage and Hour laws, COBRA, and benefits administration; experience with HRIS software (preferably Dayforce) and payroll regulations.
- Investigation & Technical Skills - Excellent employee investigation capabilities from start to finish including documentation; advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Cultural Competency & Specialized Skills - Deep understanding of individual differences and cultural diversity; bilingual capabilities (oral and written) preferred; strong consulting skills with track record of gaining credibility and partnering with business leaders.
Salary Range: $66,000 - $78,000 Aspire Bakeries LLC values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. The final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, shift, education, skill, and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed In this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
