Trade Compliance Analyst - Marlborough, MA

The Trade Compliance Analyst provides guidance and support to internal resources to identify controlled data and hardware, licensable transactions, evaluate export license requests, gather necessary data, prepare documentation for license and other export applications for submission to the appropriate government agency via DTRADE and SNAP-R, support export related reporting, recordkeeping and maintenance of existing export licenses and TAAs. The Trade Compliance Analyst supports the manager in all aspects of Trade Compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Order hold or release orders based on denied party screening analysis and BIS, OFAC and DDTC export laws
• Approve manual shipments, classify parts, identification of controlled good, prepare reports and make recommendations for continuous improvement
• Work closely with internal and external resources to protect controlled technology, license determination, and license exception/exemption usage.

• Must be familiar with and have experience with EAR, ITAR and OFAC
• A minimum of 1 year experience in preparing and submitting export licenses, an understanding of jurisdictional and classification analysis, and hands-on experience with a comprehensive ERP system.
• Ability to multitask and problem solve during day to day shipping and complex trade compliance issues as they arise
• Ability to work collaboratively with our operations and product management teams to understand the details of how our products are designed, manufactured and sold.
• Issue identification, problem solving, and ability to work in cross-functional teams with members of our IT, legal, sales, customer service, planning, manufacturing, logistics and shipping departments.
• Experience in a high volume shipping and manufacturing environment desired.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Travel 5%
