Service Tech/Sr. Service Tech

This position will be open to internal and external applicants and will close on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

The Service Tech position pays between $48,000.00 to $60,000.00 and the Senior Service Tech position pays between $54,720 to $68,400. Placement in any level is based on the skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.

The successful candidate must live within 30 minutes of the Roswell Service Center.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes meter orders to include connects, disconnects, meter sets, and meter exchanges, in a timely andsafe manner.
• May investigate and respond to gas emergency orders and requests, such as blowing gas lines, in compliancewith Company emergency and safety guidelines.
• Prepares and completes in a timely/accurate manner various/required reports in the performance of assignedduties, such as damage reports, odorant test reports and/or related system reports.
• Collaborates and consults with various individuals and groups to ensure the timely and safe completion of workassignments.
• May be assigned to monitor warehousing of supplies and/or related materials as required or assigned.

*Senior Level Position: Entry Level Duties Plus Additional Responsibilities

Successful Candidate Must Have:

• A high school diploma or GED
• Service Tech: 0-4 years of related experience and the ability to obtain your Journeyman's Gasfitter's License(JGL) within 2.5 years
• Senior Service Tech: 4 years of direct experience and Journeyman Gas Fitter's License (JGL)
• A valid driver's license and depending on position and/or geographic locations, the ability to obtain and maintaina New Mexico Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Preferences: Journeyman Gas Fitter's License

Working Conditions

Field environment. Required to work overtime and/or on-call and handle rotational standby duty or emergencyresponse as needed. May be required to work at various job sites, out of town, and/or remote locations forextended periods. Personal protective equipment including but are not limited to safety glasses, punctureresistance boots, hard hat, and respirator mask worn while performing the field functions. Frequently required tostand and/or walk to 2/3 of the time and sit up to 1/3 of the time. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50pounds. Work from an elevated position, such as ladders and rooftops. Will be exposed to outside weatherconditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and natural gas emergencies and situations.
