Apply working knowledge of structured debt instruments including Collateralized Debt Obligation (CDO) notes, preference shares, Mortgage Backed Securities (MBS) principal bonds, interest only strips, principal only strips, inverse floaters, inverse IOs, and U.S. federal income tax principles and international tax principles related to structured debt instruments. Apply U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to prepare, review and analyze financial statements and create trial balances, tax basis income statements and balances, and system generated reports. Develop proprietary models to project assets and liabilities cash flows to calculate taxable income generated by structured debt instruments. Verify and reconcile actual cash flows to expected cash flows generated by proprietary models. Apply extensive stress (prepayment, default and loss severity) scenarios to determine the volatility of asset/liability cash flows and investment returns. Review and generate U.S. Federal Income Tax Forms and statements for CDOs including PFIC Annual Information Statement, 5471, 8621, 926 Passive Foreign Investment Companies (PFIC) and Controlled Foreign Corporations. Research federal and international income tax issues related to debt instruments, stated interest, Original Issue Discount (OID), market discount, and premium and tax principles impacting Asset Backed Securities (ABS) and MBS. Pursue business development opportunities. Establish and maintain client relationships and professional networks.

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience with the following: Mortgage banking operations and economics, and securitization tax; Fixed income mathematics, and credit losses and sensitivity analysis; Working with US Agency and Private Label Mortgage Capital Markets, and Loan Production and Loan Servicing Operations; Utilizing Alteryx, Python, and R to perform compliance testing; Leveraging U.S. federal income tax principles and international tax principles related to structured debt instruments in the context of securitization engagements; Computing and reviewing OID and market discounts by using constant yield model and tax factors for CDO, CLO, ABS, and MBS portfolios.

Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 10%.
