MEP Project Manager

We are looking for a talented and skilled MEP Project Manager to join our team at a project site near Lexington, Kentucky.

In this role, you will work on a large, complex site and lead the mechanical portions of construction projects to successful completion - safely, on time, and on budget. You will also guide our engineering, construction management, and superintendent teams to achieve project goals. Additionally, you will maintain preconstruction, construction, and closeout execution plans; project scopes of work; budgets; and schedules. In coordination with accounting, you'll manage vendor and subcontractor invoicing and client billing.

Additional Responsibilities

• Monitor project costs and field conditions and ensure changes are fully reflected in cost reports.
• Monitor design content and coordinate design revisions for constructability and compliance.
• Coordinate the construction schedule with design, commissioning, and qualification schedule requirements.
• Lead the established site safety program in your area and monitor performance with CMs and Superintendents on site.
• Interact with the client regularly, listening and ensuring that their needs are met, with a focus on the IPS client experience.
• Build strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients, as you develop solutions, all while building life-impacting facilities.

• 7+ years of experience in construction project management
• Experience managing mechanical construction (HVAC, chilled water, steam, etc.) for multi-million-dollar projects
• Supervisory experience
• OSHA 30 or ability to obtain and maintain
• Has a strong mechanical background, an uncompromising commitment to safety and quality, and a focus on client engagement

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the construction of pharmaceutical, biotech, and/or life science facilities
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
• Ability to communicate effectively with teams and clients, team building, and strong work ethic.
• Must be able to build rapport with project staff.

Safety

• This position will have 25% travel, or as required by the assigned project.
• You may be assigned to a client site for an extended period of time.
• Overnight travel or staying in the city of the Client's location is possible depending on the assignment.
• You will visit Client sites and will be required to adhere to stated safety rules.

This position is a safety-sensitive position. The employee is considered a field contractor supervisor and acts in a supervisory role for fieldwork for IPS employees or subcontractors.
