The Job

The Network Management Operations - Training Specialist is responsible for designing, coordinating, and maintaining training programs that support the development of internal Network Management staff and the education of external provider partners. This role ensures that Network team employees and SCAN's providers are equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to deliver high-quality service, foster strong relationships, maintain regulatory standing, and positively impact member satisfaction, retention, and health outcomes.

This position collaborates closely with Network Management teams - Contracting, Provider Relations, and Network Operations, as well as cross-functional stakeholders. Key responsibilities include enhancing staff and provider onboarding experience, creating and maintaining training materials, implementing tools and templates to support operational excellence, and supporting educational efforts around systems, data, and processes that improve provider engagement and organizational performance.

You Will



  • Coordinate all training-related activities and serve as the primary contact for Network Management training initiatives.
  • Lead educational projects from concept through execution, ensuring timely delivery and achievement of learning objectives including the maintenance and tracking of training completion.
  • Conduct training needs assessments and determine the most effective delivery methods based on audience and content.
  • Design, deliver, and maintain internal and external training programs that impact network providers, ensuring content accuracy and relevance.
  • Collaborate with Network Management teams and cross-functional leaders to align training with business priorities and performance goals.
  • Develop and standardize new team member hire onboarding materials and educational resources for staff.
  • Support provider onboarding by facilitating training and maintaining current, accurate materials and templates.
  • Create and deliver training on core systems, tools, and processes that impact Network Management operations and provider performance.
  • Produce provider-facing educational content that aligns with SCAN policies, programs, and operational expectations.
  • Promote continuous learning by facilitating knowledge sharing, staying current with industry trends, and participating in professional development opportunities.
  • Actively support SCAN's Vision and Goals, while demonstrating the Ways of Working in all training efforts.


Your Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in discipline related to SCAN's products, programs, services, and/or business operations or comparable combination of education/experience and/or training will be considered equivalent to the education.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare, with an understanding of Medicare Advantage, operations, and provider-facing services.


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience developing, delivering, and maintaining training programs for both internal teams and external partners.
  • Proven ability to assess training needs and apply effective delivery strategies (e.g., instructor-led, virtual, on-the-job, blended).
  • Experience collaborating with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to create engaging, audience appropriate training content.


  • Demonstrated success in leading training initiatives that improve operational efficiency, support provider engagement, and enhance staff performance.
  • Skilled in designing and delivering effective training through multiple formats (e.g., in-person, virtual, blended learning).
  • Experienced in managing training projects independently, including scoping, planning, execution, and follow-up.
  • Effective at identifying inefficiencies and developing educational solutions that enhance workflows and productivity.
  • Adept at connecting cross-functional insights to create cohesive and aligned training solutions.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
