*Description:*
The Patient Account Specialist provides customer service and collection services to clients, patients, and guarantors. This role involves reviewing, following up, and resolving patient account balances while adhering to client policies and procedures. The specialist must have a thorough understanding of FDCPA, FCRA, and HIPAA regulations. *Responsibilities:* In a call center setting, taking inbound calls and placing outbound calls for outstanding balances. Negotiate Payment Plans: Work with patients, guarantors, insurance companies, and third parties to arrange and monitor payment plans. Process Payments: Prepare and process patient payments using client systems. Research Insurance Eligibility: Verify debtor insurance eligibility and perform skip tracing as necessary. Obtain Documentation: Gather necessary documentation for accounts considered for insurance filing or litigation. *Position will sit on site in St. Charles, MO. * *M-F 8AM-5PM* *Skills & Qualifications* Experience working with Meditech Patient Account Experience Medical Collections Experience Healthcare Call Center Experience High School Diploma *Experience Level* Entry Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
