Job Description

As we transform the way we design and build products at Visa, and better align our Product and Technology teams, our big focus is on portfolio management and ensuring we prioritize the right investments with the highest ROI, and products are performing as expected for our clients and the market. This includes shifting the organization towards more transparency into portfolio management practices and leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making and product improvements.

This role will report to the Senior Director of Portfolio Operations and will help define and execute on product portfolio management practices and support planning and day-to-day portfolio management activities, in close partnership with the Product Management and Development teams for one Business Unit within the Global Product team.

The ideal candidate will be a structured, critical thinker with excellent communication skills and attention to detail. He or she can make the complex simple.

Experience in portfolio management, product development/management, management consulting, or business strategy/operations is a plus.

He or she is thoughtful, curious, and analytical with a desire to make an impact. Experience in today's complex, global payments ecosystem is a foundational aspect of the role.

  • Support monthly and quarterly portfolio reviews with executive leaders to review product portfolio investments

  • Ability to synthesize portfolio investment data with agility data to provide new insights and trends to be consumed as part of leadership decision making

  • Develop data-driven insights and recommendations that help prioritize portfolio management practices to accelerate Visa's growth

  • Partner with Product, Technology, and Finance to improve visibility into specific product portfolios to drive more transparency and accelerate real-time decisions related to technology capacity and priorities

  • Maintain and own portfolio level dashboards on portfolio health and ensure engagement with stakeholders for support, when required

  • Streamline processes for data gathering and output in reviews and come to the table with more efficient ways of working

  • Build and maintain dashboards through Power BI to zero in on data-driven insights and drive towards key decisioning for leaders

  • Manage headcount transfer requests across Technology (Envelopes)

  • Support product portfolio funding processes with focus on calendar of events and required forms and templates are completed with the necessary details and accuracy, including any maintenance / enhancements needed on the tool through Power Apps or reporting through Power BI

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

*2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced

Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications

*3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2

years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD,

MD)

*Strong attention to detail and achieving results, with an emphasis on how work

is being accomplished

*Independently and consistently flawless execution of assigned work

*Adept strategic thinker and problem solver, including problem structuring

*Experience with defining and implementing new processes

*Effective presentation skills with the ability to tell a story with data

*Strong financial background

*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to

influence and guide a diverse customer audience in a matrixed environment,

ranging from junior to senior level across product, finance and technical

stakeholders and build credibility as a peer with partners

*Results-driven and able to collaborate with management and colleagues to

share responsibility for end-to-end solution

*Strong customer service and relationship management skills

*Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment self-motivated, self-managed, and

results-oriented individual with the ability to roll up their sleeves and handle

concurrent assignments

*Strong organizational skill, and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities,

assignments, and roles

Excellent level of MS Office Experience (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)

*Experience preferred in JIRA Align, Power BI, Power Apps, Visio is a plus

*Experience in agile product development, preferably in the payments industry is

a plus

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 102,600.00 to 145,150.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
