Account Executive/Broker III (SVP)-Professional Services (New York)

What the day will look like

  • Responsible for drafting, negotiating and maintaining best-in-class policy wording, endorsements, and applications for the Professional Services Practice (PSP), with a focus on but not limited to Employment Practices Liability and Management Liability.
  • Assist PSP clients in understanding applicability and availability of coverage.
  • Interface with insurers and related stakeholders as claim advocate with a focus on EPl/ML claims.
  • Support Client Service Teams (CSTs) in expanding existing and developing new business.
  • Build, expand and maintain relationships with Underwriters and Claim Leaders in US, UK and Bermuda.
  • Develop in depth knowledge of client industry, risks, and stay apprised of emerging trends, including EPL/ML regulatory and legal issues facing clients.
  • Closely collaborate with PSP broking team to develop and present relevant content to to PSP clients on EPL/ML coverage, trends and risk management issues.
  • Oversee collection and analysis of EPL/ML claim data.
  • Work with data team to produce claim trend reports.
  • Educate junior brokers on EPL/ML coverage and policy wording, including presentation(s) at PSP internal educational events.
  • Collaborate within Aon specialty, including with Financial Services Group broking, product and claims teams in support of PSP clients.
  • Assist brokers in addressing global regulatory obligations.

As a member of the Professional Services Group, you are a valuable resource to our clients and Account Executives/Brokers. PSP's clients are top law firms, accounting firms and consulting firms. PSP assists our clients with placement of Professional Liability, Cyber Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Management Liability (D&O), Fiduciary and P&C coverages. You will work with PSP's Practice Leaders, Chief Broking Officer, Growth and Strategy Leaders and other Practice Group Counsel team members to bring clients comprehensive and creative solutions to their complex risk and claim needs.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Minimum 10 years insurance-related experience with legal, insurance coverage and policy drafting background
  • Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks, control workflow deadlines and be flexible with schedule
  • Willingness to travel within the US and internationally

Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent graduate degree required

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $165,000-$230,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of New York, NY. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
