Position Overview:
As the Assistant Complex Director of Food & Beverage, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the diverse and dynamic food and beverage operations of our expansive resort. With multiple venues ranging from food trucks to fine dining establishments, your leadership will ensure exceptional culinary experiences across all outlets. Collaborating closely with the Complex Director of Food & Beverage, you will drive strategic initiatives, maintain high service standards, and optimize financial performance. This position will primarily involve evening shifts to oversee the resort's vibrant dining and beverage operations during peak hours.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:



  • Oversee daily operations of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, in-room dining, and catering services.
  • Ensure each venue delivers a unique and high-quality guest experience that aligns with the resort's brand standards.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies tailored to the diverse offerings, from casual to upscale dining.


Team Development and Management:



  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of food and beverage professionals and associates across various venues.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth, teamwork, and exceptional service delivery.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support training initiatives.


Financial Management:



  • Assist in the preparation and management of departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with the resort's financial goals.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Oversee inventory management, cost control measures, and procurement processes to optimize operational efficiency.


Guest Experience Enhancement:



  • Champion initiatives aimed at exceeding guest expectations through personalized service and innovative offerings.
  • Address guest feedback and concerns promptly, implementing improvements based on insights gathered.
  • Collaborate with marketing and events teams to manage promotional activities and special events.


Compliance and Standards Adherence:



  • Ensure all food and beverage operations adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards, labor laws, and food safety requirements. Assist in maintaining proper documentation and conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory standards
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to uphold quality and safety standards across all venues.


Strategic Planning and Execution:



  • Contribute to the development of long-term strategies for the resort's food and beverage offerings, aligning with market trends and guest preferences.
  • Lead special projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, service quality, and revenue generation.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align food and beverage strategies with overall resort objectives.


Qualifications:



  • Education:


    • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a related field. Or Equivalent work experience.


  • Experience:


    • Minimum of 5 years in a senior food and beverage management role within a luxury resort or hotel environment.
    • Proven experience overseeing multiple dining venues, including both casual and fine dining establishments.
    • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.


  • Skills and Attributes:


    • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Strategic thinker with a creative approach to problem-solving and service enhancement.
    • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage trends, with a passion for culinary excellence.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail.



Working Conditions:



  • This position will primarily involve evening shifts to manage the resort's operations during peak hours.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required by the resort's operational needs.
  • Occasional travel between resort locations may be necessary.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
