The Sourcing and Procurement Consultant will be accountable for managing key sourcing and contracting activities for healthcare commercial real estate commodities across Texas and Florida. This role will be responsible for partnering with UHG Procurement and Regional Real Estate teams to set and manage supplier strategy which include researching new suppliers, interviewing and negotiating to obtain market competitive pricing.

This role will operate as a subject matter expert in bidding and negotiations for all procurement activities. Leading the supplier selection process ensuring alignment with Regional Real Estate leadership while adhering to industry best practices and company policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for key real estate categories such as, general construction, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and janitorial services
  • Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers to drive best pricing
  • Lead the supplier selection process, including RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations
  • Manage contract renewals, terminations, and amendments as needed
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, operations, and finance teams to align sourcing strategies with overall business goals
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies through strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Prepare reports on contracts, spend and savings as needed
  • Maintain and increase knowledge of general contracting and construction trends, and best practices in commercial or healthcare real estate
  • Be a subject matter expert in sourcing strategies, supplier relationships, and program management in the real estate industry
  • Proactively managing internal and external customer expectations and delivering high level communications
  • Establish relationship with corporate legal and risk management to ensure all contractual terms and conditions comply with industry standards and changes are formally reviewed and approved by legal/risk management

Required Qualifications:



  • 8 + years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management with a focus in the commercial or healthcare real estate industry
  • Solid negotiation and contract management skills
  • Proven excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities, especially with in the dynamic real estate industry



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in healthcare real estate (non-hospital)

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
