Department Information
The Georgia Tech Athletic Associate (GTAA) sponsors varsity intercollegiate athletics competition in 17 NCAA Division I sports for the Georgia Institute of Technology. We are a proud member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Steeped in history and success while embracing strategic innovation, our programs compete at the highest level and strive for national championships. Tech fans are passionate about their support of their beloved Yellow Jackets and cherish the many traditions involved with the program.

Responsible for the overall success, performance and management for the strength and conditioning program for student-athletes within the Basketball Program. This role would create individualized sport performance plans for assigned student-athletes, combining cutting edge technologies, leading human performance fact-based science and foundational player development principles. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Student-athletes, coaches, and senior level staff. This position typically will advise and counsel: student-athletes and coaches
This position will supervise: NA

Job Duty 1 -
Supervise, plan and coordinate the strength and conditioning program for their assigned Basketball program on a year-round basis, including developing speed, strength and conditioning schedules, fundamental instruction and all teamwork outs

Job Duty 2 -
Work closely with all head coach to plan, organize and facilitate the strength and conditioning needs of the team

Job Duty 3 -
Maintain proper strength and conditioning equipment and make recommendations for the purchase of new equipment

Job Duty 4 -
Monitor the designated basketball weight training facilities for condition and safety of equipment

Job Duty 5 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Five to seven years of job-related experience. This job requires knowledge of physical conditioning theory, principles, applications, and program design; skills in teaching/instruction, conditioning staff supervision, specific training methodologies, organization, and communications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Certifications, Licenses, or Permits required for this job:
Master Strength & Conditioning Coach (MSCC)

Preferred Experience
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations

ABILITIES
Travel Requirement: Must be able to travel: Overnight travel during competitive season required
