Advanced Practice Providers Internal Medicine/Observation

Seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our Observation Internal Medicine team at Ahuja Medical Center. The APP will cover and manage inpatient and observation patients from admission through discharge. This position will work 12 hour shifts rotating Day/Night or straight Nights (eligible for night shift incentive program), weekends and holidays. APP, internal medicine or observation experience is strongly preferred. APP experience is preferred and will consider new grads for the New Grad APP Training Program.

A Brief Overview

The Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws.

• Provides education through role modeling and in-services to meet identified learning needs and to promote professionalism (5%)
• Advances own professional development through self-directed learning, continuing education and participation in peer review (5%)

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
