What You'll Do:

The Transportation Operations Manager will lead and oversee a team of 4-6 Transportation Support Specialists (TSS), ensuring high performance across all transportation operations. This role is responsible for optimizing shipment execution, maintaining high service levels, and driving cost-saving initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a results-driven mindset, and a deep understanding of transportation and logistics operations.

• Lead and Develop TSS Team: Provide leadership, mentorship, and development to ensure effective transportation process execution.
• Drive Operational Excellence: Establish metrics, conduct evaluations, and foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee Daily Shipment Execution: Ensure timely and accurate pickups and deliveries, implementing best practices for tracking and exception management.
• Manage Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary liaison, ensuring proactive communication on shipment status, delays, and issue resolution.
• Optimize Costs and Carrier Relations: Drive cost savings through freight analysis, routing optimization, and favorable carrier/vendor negotiations.
• Enhance Processes and Performance: Regularly review and improve transportation processes, monitor KPIs, and implement continuous improvement strategies.

Requirements We Look For:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in transportation or logistics operations, with leadership responsibilities.

• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and transportation management systems.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
