What You'll Do:




  1. Responsible for the preparation of quality, detailed financial analysis including cash flow models and collateral evaluations in order to identify potential credit risks.
  2. Capable of evaluating complex financial statements to spread and analyze in order to prepare a credit presentation.
  3. Mentor and assist in training of less experienced commercial credit analysts.
  4. Make recommendations in accordance with sound banking practices in order to minimize risk exposure.
  5. Ensure commercial loan requests adhere to bank policies and procedures.
  6. Effectively communicate and partner with the Commercial Lender, Portfolio Managers or Team Leader to assist with monitoring of the loan portfolio.
  7. Participate in on-site client meetings with the Commercial Lender, Portfolio Managers or Team Leader.
  8. Review of appraisals to ensure adherence to applicable federal regulations and soundness of analysis and conclusions.
  9. Complete independent research and analyze market conditions to assess collateral values.
  10. Assist with maintaining bank's commercial credit tickler system, to include tracking of financial statements and covenants, and other customer reporting/review and monitor working capital draws.
  11. Assists in assigning underwriting requests, reviewing of loan presentations and taking meeting minutes for loan committees, when applicable
  12. Completion of special projects as required by senior management and other additional responsibilities as requested.



Expectations of the Role:




  • Working knowledge of finance, accounting, and credit analysis concepts.
  • Capacity to work within a fast paced and proactive environment while adding value to our clients.
  • Knowledge of small business and middle market commercial businesses and owner occupied commercial real estate.
  • Capable of taking ownership of personal development/ performance and ability to work independently.
  • Prepare loan presentations accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Have read, understand and know the Bank's Lending Policy.
  • Some contact with customers, conducting relationships in a professional manner that will enhance the overall marketing effort of the bank.
  • Meet and/or exceed your goals.



Who You Are:




  • Completed Bachelor's degree in Business, preferably Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 5-years previous Commercial Credit Analyst experience with a focus in C & I loans in a financial institution
  • Qualitative analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of MS Suite of Products (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Internet skills
  • Sageworks Risk Analyst
