Position Summary: We're on the hunt for a high-impact Oracle Cloud Financial Techno-Functional expert who's ready to roll up their sleeves and make things happen. In this role, you'll be the go-to authority across both the technical and functional sides of Oracle Financial modules (AP, AR, GL, FA, CM). You'll lead the charge in delivering full-cycle solutions, working directly with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to optimize, integrate, and fine-tune Oracle Financials to power our core operations. We're looking for someone who doesn't just follow the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)-you own it. From requirements to rollout, you'll ensure every phase is airtight and efficient. This position is based in St. Louis, MO. Functional Contribution:
- Deep functional and technical understanding of Oracle Financial Cloud modules.
- Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Oracle Financial modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), and Cash Management (CM).
- Well versed with multi-currency Oracle Enterprise set up.
- Well versed with financial close process.
- Develop, customize, and extend Oracle Financial solutions using PL/SQL, security, configuration, and localization.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution design, specifications, and test scripts.
- Develop and troubleshoot interfaces between Oracle Financials and other applications (both Oracle and non-Oracle systems).
- Maintain SDLC best practices including change management.
- Develop, customize, and extend Oracle Financial solutions using PL/SQL, security, configuration, and localization.
- Maintain and enhance system integrations with other legacy systems.
- Enhance OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud) based automated and scheduled jobs.
- Troubleshoot both technical and functional issues related to Oracle Financials.
- Implement system enhancements and customizations as needed based on business requirements.
- Work on production break fix tickets and prioritize with business's input.
- Provide technical and functional expertise during monthly, quarterly and yearly financial close.
- Provide leadership managing business chart of accounts and cross validation rules.
- Lead or participate in Oracle Financials implementation and upgrade projects.
- Conduct unit testing, system integration testing, and coordinate with users for UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
- Ensure all Oracle Financial configurations comply with corporate governance, audit, and regulatory standards.
- Develop custom reports using Oracle Reports, BI Publisher, or other tools to provide actionable insights for management and finance teams.
- Work with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and data integrity.
Skills, Abilities and Mastery
- 5+ years of experience in Oracle Financials as a Techno-Functional Consultant.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Financial modules: GL, AP, AR, FA, and CM.
- Strong knowledge of financial processes such as procure-to-pay (P2P), order-to-cash (O2C), and record-to-report (R2R).
- Relevant Oracle Cloud certifications are a plus.
- Working knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.
- Knowledge of Oracle APIs, interfaces, and data conversions.
- Knowledge of Oracle cloud's security model.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and reporting requirements.
- Proven ability to analyze business processes and align technology solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Proven experience managing projects and delivering on deadlines.
Delivery:
- Identify, propose, and implement business solutions using Oracle Financial Cloud.
- Successfully execute projects.
- Provide production support that meets company-defined SLAs.
- Follow the SDLC during every phase of IT project execution and production support.
Education, Expertise and Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business or technology or 5-7 years of related experience focused on financial processes and systems.
- Good Oracle Financial Technical and Functional Skills.
- Must be able to travel 10% (estimated).
