The Financial Report Developer position involves analyzing data to address various requests and issues, requiring extensive knowledge of information systems and accounting practices. The position serves as a technical expert in SSRS reporting, creating and maintaining reports to project revenue streams, analyze expenditures, and improve data sharing for decision-making. Responsibilities include data mapping, analysis, and testing of the data warehouse, developing efficient reporting structures, and providing troubleshooting support. The role also involves consulting with clients to determine report specifications, supporting various finance-related departments. This position serves as a backup to the Senior Financial Analyst position that is responsible for utilizing Anaplan for multi-year forecasting projections and Tableau for tuition, fee, and lapsed benefit projections. Additionally, the position includes consultation on business needs and software implementation projects.

Business Affairs is responsible for supporting the university's teaching, research, and public service mission by providing quality business and administration services to the UNCW community and ensuring transparency in planning and budgeting. The Finance unit provides university financial services directly to students and the campus community. The University Financial Analytics Office resides within the Finance unit of the Division of Business Affairs and is responsible for providing university financial reports, projections, analysis and improving university financial systems, financial processes, and financial reporting. Financial Analytics ensures optimal system integration, financial reconciliation and user satisfaction for financial systems, processes and reports.
