Housekeeper (2nd Shift)

To maintain the appearance of the Plemmons Student Union, which involves cleaning the PSU meeting rooms, restrooms, floors, and public areas. Work of this nature involves the use of cleaning agents and related cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and carpet/upholstery extractors.

Some knowledge of cleaning procedures, ability to follow instructions and to perform medium to heavy physical work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Special certification may be required for some of these positions. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
Must be physically able to lift moderately heavy materials, equipment, and supplies on a daily basis with or without reasonable accommodations.
Good communication skills and abilities when dealing with faculty, staff, and students, thus fostering good relations with the public and building occupants.
Ability to work within a team and in individual settings.
Ability to work with cleaning chemicals.
Ability to operate housekeeping cleaning machines.
Must have a valid driver's license in order to drive ASU vehicles as needed.

Prior housekeeping & custodial experience preferred

Sunday through Thursday, 2 pm - 11 pm.
All PM shifts are eligible for shift differential pay.

The nature of the position is manual and requires a great deal of physical effort to accomplish the position's various cleaning responsibilities. Physical effort includes the use of supplies and materials, and the movement of various cleaning equipment.
