Operational Effectiveness Manager

Responsibilities include: developing, maintaining and updating policies and procedures, leading or participating in KEF wide operational improvement projects, developing training plans for Transaction Cycle Management (TCM), self-audit responsibilities for TCM, maintenance of TCMs' GRC records, and act as a liaison to all compliance partners.

It's also important to approach responsibilities with a strong ability to balance risk, service delivery capabilities and business policies against features and attributes of new and existing business offerings.

Operational Effectiveness

  • On-going maintenance associated with the review, validation and update of all TCM policies and procedures in accordance with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal and external regulations including fraud prevention, data privacy, KYC, etc., and assist TCM in navigating instances where KEF and KeyBank do not align in adherence approach.
  • Act as a liaison with the Central Wire Processing Group (CWP) and assist TCM in the mitigation of challenges associated with independent verification of monetary disbursements.
  • Maintain KEF TCM GRC records (audits/findings, MSIFs, etc.) in partnership with BRC and TCM Leadership
  • Perform all ongoing TCM audit requirements including GRC reporting and internal audits/reporting.
  • Lead and/or support TCM in projects associated with operational effectiveness and excellence, as required.
  • Interface with management and employees to design and develop documents to help maintain an effective set of policies, procedures, and work instructions for business and, at times, technical processes
  • Identify and propose KEF wide operational improvements. Primary areas of focus include efficiency, streamlining, customer service improvements, etc.
  • Ability to take complex or multi-stepped procedures and prepare in a simple, clear, and easily digested format.
  • Ability to anticipate potential situations or questions at every level of the company in response to a new policy or procedure.
  • Ability to manage updates and/or revisions to ensure accuracy and relevance
  • Perform research and review documents to identify gaps and analyze effectiveness in policy and procedure documentation.
  • Develop, obtain feedback from SMEs, and implement policies and procedures for all of TCM.
  • Lead and/or assist with the introduction of new systems, processes policies and procedures.
  • Provide TCM Leadership with feedback on areas requiring improvement and facilitate any required training.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in finance
  • 5+ years' experience working in multiple roles within the equipment finance industry with a strong preference for experience in Originations, Asset Management, Servicing, Sales and working with vendor partners
  • Experience in analyzing and generating strong business recommendations, action items, and follow up in all aspects of business.
  • Proven comfort level/experience working with Senior Leaders
  • Strong knowledge of operational systems and tools used in the business to support new business development activities
  • Time management: Demonstrated ability to self-prioritize assignments and effectively work in a high paced environment
  • Ability to organize information, recommend solutions, communicate and collaborate with peers and managers
  • Possess knowledge of equipment leasing, finance, sales/property tax
  • Ability to undertake such travel as required by Key
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Superior verbal & written communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of, and proficiency with, current Uniform Commercial Code
  • Able to work as a team member, as well as independently

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Equal Pay Posting Language

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $105,000 to $125,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
