Position Title: Developer Business Intelligence (LSC, OSC, SSC)

Position Summary

The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer will create compelling, action-oriented data visualizations and dashboards to promote data-driven decision-making at JetBlue, as part of the IT Business Intelligence Team. This role will focus on the analysis, design, and development of enterprise dashboards, reporting and other automations tools. Key requirements for this position include an understanding of business objectives and processes, along with technical expertise in enterprise business intelligence technologies, including Tableau and cloud-based data warehouses. The role will also involve creating and maintaining Python scripts, orchestrating them via Databricks.

Essential Responsibilities

• Develop and design high-quality dashboards and reports
• Translate business requirements into thoughtful data visualizations and designs
• Administer and support Tableau Online environment
• Evaluate new technologies in the business intelligence stack and make recommendations on potential enterprise adoption
• Create and maintain Python scripts orchestrated in Databricks Workflows and/or other data orchestration tools
• Recommend changes to enterprise data models to better serve business intelligence needs
• Define, design, document and socialize BI best practices across the company
• Provide data visualization support to users across the company
• All other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
• Three (3) years of experience creating data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau
• Strong SQL skills
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to translate business requirements into visualization concepts
• Ability and willingness to learn new tools/technologies required to perform business intelligence duties
• Available for overnight travel (10%)
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test
• Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
• Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

• Experience with dbt and Snowflake
• Experience with Python, Databricks Workflows and/or other Data Orchestration tools

• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
• Able to maintain a professional appearance
• When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

• Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
• Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
• The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.

Compensation:

• The base pay range for this position is between $90,500.00 and $128,600.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
