Develop and Maintain Quality Systems that support the daily Manufacturing Operations to meet Product and Process Quality metrics and Stellantis Production Way (SPW) by working closely with Operations Team Members, Team Leaders, Technical Support Specialists and Business Unit Leaders. Quality Systems include Equipment and In-line Gages Qualification Requirements, CMM, Metrology and Metallurgical Lab System, Dimensional Capability, Analysis and Risk Assessment. Major Duties
- Perform root cause analysis of quality issues from machining, assembly, or warranty returns utilizing advanced problem solving tools.
- Perform analysis of scrap, establish priority based on top issues for quality and cost, utilize problem solving tools to reduce scrap as a lead or member of the team.
- Conduct Capability studies on machines and processes to ensure robustness of the product.
- Develop Standardized work for production operators including boundary samples for reference.
- Develop and maintain control plans for all machining and assembly processes.
- Support and contribute to Stellantis Production Way (SPW) Program and tools.
- Support the continuous use of Production Quality Practical Problem Solving Methods and Processes for major quality issues arising from Gauging, Production, Control Plans, Dimensional Issues, and Quality Check Routes, Leak Test, Functional non-conformances.
- Provide timely feedback to Manufacturing Operations on problems identified for actions to be taken quickly to address Quality issues immediately.
- Report to Management using Daily Quality Indicators that are compiled from Functional Audit, Dock Audits, Customer (Vehicle Plant and Field) Returns and Problems, Production Quality Issues every shift and follow-up on actions taken by the respective departments to eliminate or mitigate the Quality issues.
- Facilitate meetings between various functions including Manufacturing Operations, Production Control, Manufacturing Engineering (Technical Support Specialists), Resident Engineering, Finance, to arrive at dispositions that impact Product Quality.
- Coordinate with SQA, 3rd party service provider, Production Control and Manufacturing Operations for Receiving Inspection, In-line inspection and sorting, Teardown and Autopsy.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree Required, preferably in Quality, Engineering, or manufacturing discipline or 3 years' experience in Quality Systems Development and Management, in a production environment, preferably in Power train Manufacturing.
- Formal Quality Systems management training/knowledge highly desired.
- Ability to work well in cross functional teams and be able to coordinate communications between various organizations to balance Product Functional requirements and Production Process Capabilities.
- Ability to collect and synthesize data into information and communicate clearly to all levels of management for immediate action and decision
- Familiar with GD&T, SPC, CDS, MQAS (ISO9000 / 14001), PSO, and PPAP.
- Exceptional PC Skills - Lotus Notes, Catia Applications, and all MS Office Applications
Physical Demands
- Flexible to work on a pattern Crew schedule over two shifts, and weekend schedule will be required
