About the Role:

As a member of the Production Design team, you will help PitchBook's Marketing team win drives to be a world class B2B engine, delivering exceptional results. You will be critical to fueling the company's growth by utilizing a variety of Brand, Creative, Content, Go-To-Market, Channel, and Operations strategies at every stage of the customer lifecycle-and act and work with authenticity always. You will be apart of a high performing, data-driven team, and will use rigor and rationale to produce quality marketing with an agile approach, meeting business needs and market dynamics.

The Production Designer is a key support role to the Creative Team and the future of the PitchBook brand. This role partners closely with the entire Creative Marketing Team, including designers, multimedia producers, copywriters and editors, and project managers to support the efforts of marketing stakeholders and other departments across the company. This role provides print, digital, and multimedia production mechanical building expertise combined with a meticulous eye for design detail to maintain and up-level PitchBook's brand.

The Production Designer must be able to prepare assets to company standards in a variety of media types: print, digital, motion, and 3-dimensional. Additionally, the designer would spec layouts in consistent, clear detail. This role requires an individual that can adhere to brand guidelines, deliver quality files under tight timelines, and problem solve with strong communication skills.

Primary Job Responsibilities:



  • Understand the project scope and responsibilities
  • On-time delivery of all project and campaign assets while maintaining the highest levels of quality and consistency
  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, multimedia, and managers to deliver high-quality, production-ready print, digital, and/or multimedia assets
  • Identify and support process optimizations to improve efficiency and scalability of file execution and delivery
  • Support creation of templatized graphics, motion design file setup, and improve team efficiencies
  • Proactively manages expectations of projects and deliverables to all stakeholders to minimize and mitigate risk
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested



Skills and Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in visual communication design
  • 2+ years of experience managing creative production projects, design, and multimedia disciplines, as part of a cross-functional team
  • Demonstrated experience of working effectively with creative teammates and design proficiencies including: layout, typography, illustration, color, and photography
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across multiple departments in a large organization
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a focus on process improvement
  • Experience using creative project planning and management software, such as Asana, Wrike, or Trello
  • Experience prepping print files for press; working knowledge of dieline specs, color spaces, bleed, crop setting, and templatizing is helpful, but not required
  • Knowledge of private equity, venture capital, and M&A is helpful, but not required
  • Working knowledge with the Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, motion design, and basic HTML/CSS skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite including: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

Compensation



  • Annual base salary: $70,000-$80,000
  • Target annual bonus percentage: 7.5%



*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.

Working Conditions:

We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it's helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3+days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
