Responsibilities

New hybrid work opportunity for a Senior Revenue Accountant with the Bruker Finance and Accounting team based in Billerica, MA. Primarily responsible for the Company's revenue accounting function within the Billerica business services and revenue organization.

    Perform month end close activities for US legal entities supported by the Billerica business services center.
  • Evaluate customer agreements and documents the proper revenue accounting under ASC 606.
  • Prepare analyses, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and other revenue related schedules as part of the month end close process all in accordance with US GAAP and Company policies.
  • Prepare and reviews monthly SOX controls.
  • Work closely and communicates effectively with business and corporate partners to ensure that information and support needs are consistently met.
  • Understand the business and responds to the needs of operating business partners; implements improvements, as needed.
  • Ensure implementation of and compliance with US GAAP revenue recognition matters
  • Provide support for external and internal audit processes.
  • Play a leadership role in ensuring the revenue accounting function is more efficient and effective.
  • Perform other duties as required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in accounting or finance required. CPA or equivalent training a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years accounting or revenue recognition work experience along with 3 years demonstrated general accounting work experience in a publicly traded company.
  • Technical revenue accounting knowledge of US GAAP and specifically ASC 606.
  • Experience with SAP or a similar financial accounting system.
  • Experience with BPC or a similar financial reporting tool (i.e. Hyperion, Cognos) desirable.
  • Strong Excel, MS Office suite and Windows skills.
  • Current knowledge of US accounting and auditing regulations and accounting policies and practices. Unquestioned integrity in the application of such standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills: resource management, workload prioritization and project management.
  • Highly adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining an emphasis on quality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, computer, communication (both written and verbal), and presentation skills.
  • Remains current with accounting standards and maintains an effective external industry and professional network.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, global environment with ability to gain commitment and coordinated action for initiatives.
  • Operates with a high standard of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.

  • Builds and maintains constructive working relationships across the company at all levels.
  • Ability to satisfactorily completion position compliance and training requirements.
  • Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
  • Maintain a valid passport with flexibility for domestic and international travel.
  • May be required to pass security clearance investigation.

At Bruker, the base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $76,500 and $137,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on several job-related factors, including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge, and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits, including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
