Description
Join a team of professionals where you will learn to proficiently produce parts from a drawing, sketch, or verbal instructions on all manual equipment. This person will learn to setup and program conversational and G-code CNC mills and lathes. This process will teach the Machinist Apprentice to be able to trouble shoot a process and support all manufacturing at TURBOCAM. This position in the Tool Room is filled with the intention that the person may then be moved to another position within the company.
Come Build with Us by:
  • Performing and learning setup and operation of all tool room equipment.
  • Designing, building and/or maintaining fixtures, tools or gaging for use in specific projects as assigned.
  • Recognizing design and program defects or short comings and promptly communicating these to the Tool Room Supervisor.
  • Learning to write technical documents such as: work instructions, operation procedures, project reports, and other various forms of communication.
  • Upkeep of records related to work.
  • Performing other duties as necessary.
Bring Your Expertise:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience as a CNC Mill operator and/or Lathe operator including basic set-up preferred.
  • Basic understanding of trigonometry.
  • Intermediate level in MS Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel and ERP software preferred (Epicor helpful).
  • Knowledge of GD&T and ANSI Y 14.5.
  • Experience with blue print reading and use of metrology tools.
  • Requires lifting and carrying of up to 30 lbs. or more and standing for extended periods of time.
