Our client, a dynamic and growing company, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Financial Analyst to join their finance team. The successful candidate will support key financial functions such as reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. This role provides an excellent opportunity to build your skills and grow within a fast-paced and collaborative work environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

  • Perform variance analysis to compare actual financial performance to budgeted forecasts, identifying key trends and providing actionable insights.

  • Support the preparation of financial forecasts and annual budgets, collaborating with other departments to gather necessary data.

  • Help analyze financial data, providing recommendations to senior management to drive business decisions.

  • Maintain and update financial models for forecasting future financial outcomes based on historical data.

  • Contribute to the preparation of financial presentations for both internal management and external stakeholders.

  • Assist with the preparation of materials for audits and regulatory compliance.

  • Track financial performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), providing detailed reports on results.

  • Support the monthly close process and ensure timely and accurate reporting.

  • Identify and recommend improvements to financial processes and reporting systems to increase efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • 3.0 GPA is required.
    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • 0-2 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related role (internships or relevant academic experience will be considered).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis tools).

  • Familiarity with financial reporting software and ERP systems (experience with systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar is a plus).

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data in a clear and concise manner.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in financial modeling and forecasting.

  • Knowledge of financial regulations, GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and compliance standards.

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.


Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
