JOB SUMMARY
Vaco Technology is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Lead for an opportunity located in Downtown Dallas, TX 75201 (onsite 3-4 days per week). The Cybersecurity Lead will lead all aspects of cybersecurity operations, including managing internal security processes and collaborating with key vendors. The Cybersecurity Lead will be a combination of high-level strategic vision and hands-on engagement with technical security challenges, ensuring the protection of the infrastructure and data from evolving threats. The Cybersecurity Lead will collaborate closely with talented team members and will contribute to internal IT teams, executive leadership, and external security partners to ensure robust scalable security measures while supporting business continuity.
  • Manage / Maintain Security Technologies / Tools - Firewalls / IDS / Vulnerability Scanners, etc.
  • Ensure Compliance with Regulations / Standards / Frameworks
  • Utilize Existing Tools / Platforms / Processes / Procedures - Identify Areas of Improvements to Incident Response / Cybersecurity-related Support Activities
  • Support the Systems Security Program - Proactively Managing Infrastructure Systems Security Risks / Vulnerabilities / Compliance with Security Configurations / Guidance / Policies
  • Conduct Comprehensive Analysis of Security Threats from Various Sources - Identifying Potential Risks / Assessing Impact on Operations
  • Develop / Implement Incident Response Plan - Working Swiftly to Contain / Mitigate Cybersecurity Risks
  • Partner with Internal Teams / External Collaborators - Investigating Security Breaches / Implementing Effective Remediation Strategies
  • Manage Post-Incident Operations - Tracking Lessons Learned / Infrastructure Improvements / Enhancement of Overall Security
  • Collaborate with IT Leaders - Integrating Security Best Practices into Broader IT Strategy
  • Develop / Maintain Security Incident Response Plans / Procedures
  • Lead the Investigation / Resolution of Security Incidents - Data Breaches / Cyber-Attacks
  • Coordinate with Internal / External Stakeholders During Incident Response / Recovery Efforts

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Cybersecurity Lead (5+ years) - Hands-On Lead Executing Cybersecurity Incident Response
  • MDR Platforms - 24/7 Monitoring / Threat Intelligence / Incident Response / Forensics/Analysis / Compliance Support, etc.
  • Cloud Security (AWS / Azure / GCP) - Cloud-Native Security Tools / Best Practices Focus
  • Cybersecurity Technologies - Firewalls / Cloud Firewalls (Meraki) / SIEM / IDS / Endpoint Protection Tools
  • Regulatory Standards (ISO-27001 / NIST / GDPR / PCI-DSS) - Leading Compliance Audits, etc.

PREFERRED (not required)
  • Certifications - CISSP / CISM / CISA / CRISC (strongly preferred)
  • Meraki Systems / Cloud Firewalls
  • AI / Analytics Related to Security
