Stellantis is required to document and disclose all software features incorporated as Auxiliary Emissions Control Devices (AECDs) to the appropriate regulatory agencies. The Auxiliary Emissions Control Device Compliance Engineer position within the Vehicle Environmental & Safety - Homologation and Compliance group of the Technical Safety and Regulatory Compliance organization is responsible for developing processes and reviewing the documentation of AECDs to support emissions certification and compliance. The Auxiliary Emissions Control Device Compliance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with emissions regulations related to AECDs, collaborating with product development teams, and managing the completion of required certification documentation through governance prior to submission to regulatory agencies.

Specific responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Liaison to AECD Champions; establish regular meetings to help ensure on-time completion and delivery of AECD documentation to regulatory agencies
• Lead AECD Working Group and Core Group meetings to review AECD features and strategies
• Review AECD disclosure documents prepared by AECD Champions and manage through governance prior to disclosure to agencies
• Maintain all North America AECD governance process documentation
• Train propulsion system employees regarding AECD disclosure and governance
• Implement AECD governance process improvements/automation for efficiency

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in a Science, Computer, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university
• Minimum 4 years of emission control system or OBD system development or calibration experience
• Familiarity with emissions cycles, emissions constituents, and basic emission control system concepts
• Must have strong computer skills, strong communication (written and verbal) skills, and willing behavior of adherence to processes
• Effective negotiation and collaboration skills; ability to drive results
• Detail oriented with good people skills that can operate as a self-starter

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a Science, Computer, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university
• Strong working knowledge of regulatory emissions compliance, testing and certification processes/procedures
• Previous experience interfacing with regulatory agencies
