The Assistant Director of Interprofessional Education (IPE) Simulation Lab will collaborate with the Director of the IPE Simulation Lab, Program Directors, faculty and staff across the graduate and undergraduate departments in the College of Public Health. The Assistant Director will support the day-to-day operations of the IPE simulation lab including skills acquisition, simulation-related programming, simulation scheduling, training and purchasing supplies. In collaboration with faculty and other lab personnel the Assistant Director will oversee the preparation of simulation rooms and coordinate skill-related and simulation activities while overseeing assigned personnel working in the simulation lab. Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential functions:
Simulation Training
*Create skills and simulation master schedule for all levels of CPH learners.
*Assist with implementation of simulation scenarios and activities consistent with curriculum to address professional specialties.
*Collaborate with simulation director, program directors, staff, simulated participants and faculty to ensure simulation learning experiences meet outcomes.
*Modify the master lab/simulation schedule to accommodate student events/placements.
*Oversee physical set up and take down of a variety of simulation manikins and clinical lab environments.
*Participate in faculty and staff training and development programs that advance simulation-based learning knowledge and skills.

Equipment & Inventory
*Operate and maintain simulation equipment. Provide operational expertise in troubleshooting equipment. Manage inventory-tracking system of supplies, equipment, and resources.
*Operate and maintain simulation recording equipment and user access.
*Maintain equipment inventory and manage equipment maintenance contracts.
*Purchase and track supplies

Operations
*Manage space and resources allocated to simulation-based education activities.
*Manage front desk operations.
*Oversee designated personnel including student workers and Simulated Participants.
*Maintain records and reports such as statistics on simulation lab use and students served.
*Primary liaison with Dean's Office for housekeeping and facility needs, including Environmental Health & Radiation Safety.
*Assist in annual budget development, course fee tracking, monthly reconciliation, and budget projections.
*Developing pricing and contracts for external users.
*Assist with policy and simulation lab manual updates.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare sciences or related field and at least four years of related experience. Must have experience in simulation-based education and previous patient interaction in healthcare or public health. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:
*Demonstrated ability and knowledge of relevant simulation technology and experience running simulation activities.
*Ability to work with internal and external individuals from different disciplines and different levels of training.
*Ability to plan, implement and evaluate complex systems and tasks
*Experience using and managing systems used for recording simulations and debriefing.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills.
*Self-motivated and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
*Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment; able to work evenings/weekends on an as needed basis.
*Proficiency in MS software applications including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as Internet and database applications.
*Excellent organizational skills.
*Ability to independently move equipment (less than 25 lbs.) and move mannikins (less than 50 lbs.) with the assistance of others.

Preferred:
*CHSE or CHSOS certified
