Summary of Position Kinsley Materials is seeking multiple experienced Tri-Axle Driversto join our growing team.The drivers will be responsible for hauling construction materials such as: sand, dirt, gravel, rocks and paving materials, among other aggregates, from one location to another. Previous experience driving a Tri-Axle is preferred by not required.Successful candidates should possess a valid CDL Class A or B driver's license, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude. Typical Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Drive trucks equipped with dump bed hauling loose construction materials from one location to another as instructed.
Materials may include sand, dirt, gravel, rocks, and paving materials, among other aggregates. - Comply with all federal and state commercial driving rules and regulations.
- Maintain driving log/records according to state and federal regulations.
- Secure all loads according to state and federal regulations.
- Complete pre-post trip vehicle inspection reports.
- Clearly communicate with equipment operators and other truck drivers, ensuring materials are delivered according to the job specifications and timetables.
- Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures.
- Must spray truck surfaces with protective compound to prevent adherence of certain materials.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
Requirements
- Commercial Driver's License Class A or B.
- Must have and maintain clean driving record (MVR)
Ability to pass DOT pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol testing. Must be able be able to drive a manual transmission. - Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees and those contacted in the course of work.
- Must have reliable transportation to get to dispatch office.
- Must be reliable to get to work on time.
- Required dress includes safety toed shoes, PPE, shirt with minimum 3 sleeves, long pants.
