Overview The peer recovery specialist is responsible to support and enhance the lives of those diagnosed with Mental Illness and Substance Use Disorder by providing empathy, hope and support for peers on a mutual journey of recovery. More common in the community based setting. Draws from lived experience in recovery from SUD to make a difference in the lives of others. Postion can be full-time or part-time. Responsibilities Communicates daily with staff to identify individuals that need to be seen for evaluation.
