What You Need to Know: As a Clinical Apheresis Sales Representative, you will play a critical role in identifying, cultivating, and pursuing market growth opportunities within the healthcare sector. You will develop and implement both new and existing strategies for clinical apheresis programs, while engaging in direct outreach and negotiations with potential clients. This role requires a combination of clinical expertise and sales acumen, as you work to expand services and create impactful business plans. You will be expected to work independently while occasionally mentoring and supporting team members. What You Will Do: Key Responsibilities: 1. Market Strategy Development: Create and manage market growth strategies for assigned business units, primarily focusing on healthcare providers, hospitals, and clinics. Identify and target new business opportunities within the clinical apheresis market. 2. Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and potential clients to expand market share. Engage in outreach and conduct negotiations with key decision-makers in healthcare organizations, including medical professionals and procurement teams. 3. Sales Strategy Development: Conduct research and analyze data on potential clients and contributors. Use this information to develop targeted sales strategies that align with the needs of healthcare providers and community organizations. 4. Proposal Development: Develop tailored proposals for healthcare institutions and individual donors to optimize the adoption and growth of clinical apheresis programs in the assigned market area. 5. Marketing & Communication: Create and disseminate marketing materials related to clinical apheresis services. Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure that messaging aligns with overall business objectives and resonates with healthcare customers. 6. Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all activities comply with internal policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and relevant Federal, State, and local regulations related to clinical apheresis and healthcare services. Scope: This is an individual contributor role that requires proficiency in both clinical apheresis and sales. You will work independently, managing your own accounts, with occasional guidance and support from leadership. You will have the opportunity to provide mentorship and contribute to the overall development of your team. Pay Information: The salary range for this position is $91,000.00 - $121,440.00/ annually. Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: Qualifications: * Education: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a healthcare or life sciences field or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical or sales role, with a strong preference for experience in clinical apheresis or related healthcare services. Alternatively, equivalent experience in clinical settings or healthcare sales may be considered. * Sales Experience: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies, including building client relationships and achieving sales targets. Previous experience working with healthcare providers or donors is a plus. * Skills & Abilities: o Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. o Ability to develop strategic plans and adapt them to meet market needs. o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce). o Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders. o Knowledge of clinical apheresis or related healthcare services is highly desirable. o Basic project management skills to ensure that client proposals and sales targets are met on time. Travel Requirements: This role may require travel which would include attending industry meetings, conferences, and client visits. Travel expectations are flexible, but candidates should be comfortable with moderate travel for client outreach and engagement. Work Environment: This position offers a balance of independent work and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
