- The Strategic Assistant must have a proven history of time and project management, results orientation, and change management while working with a company's senior executives.
- Must be able to work independently and professionally while balancing multiple priorities, often against tight deadlines.
- The Strategic Assistant manages special projects as directed by the President, leading internal teams as appropriate.
- Provides in-depth research and analyses.
- The Strategic Assistant must have exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills, and ability to draft and manage executive correspondence.
- Successfully leads and execute clinical metric improvement projects.
- Proven experience using and interpreting clinical data.
- Able to develop complex financial proformas and manage projects to successful financial outcomes.
- Proactively works to optimize and assist in managing the President's time.
- Works in close collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team and other members of the Senior Leadership Team.
- Serves as a trusted partner for President managing complex and confidential matters within the executive offices.
- Anticipates probable challenges to effectively deliver results to benefit both the President and the organization.
- Contributes knowledge and experience in the following areas:
- Negotiating contracts with vendors and GPOs;
- Analyses and purchase of enterprise systems;
- Co-leads Joint Commission and CMS site surveys;
- Prepares/trains staff for continued accreditation readiness; and
- Leads process improvement projects.
- Organizes and consolidates briefing material for meetings and external engagement.
- Works with EA to manage Executive Office record-keeping and maintain an up-to-date contacts database.
Education/Certifications/Licenses/Registrations
- Minimum bachelor's degree in finance, healthcare administration, business, organizational planning, or other relevant field of study.
- Prefer a clinical background of 10-15 years' experience.
- Experienced in conducting risk management assessments and providing RM training in a health care setting.
- Experienced with Joint Commission accreditation and first-hand knowledge of the survey process.
- Prefer certification in ACHCE or the FACHE.
- Traveling between sites and other locations is required as an essential function of the job. Must have a car, a valid California driver's license, and proof of minimum levels of car insurance as required under California law, although limits of $100,000 are recommended. An acceptable driving record is also required. California law requires all drivers to obtain a valid California driver's license within ten days of establishing residency. Mileage and other reimbursement governed by policy.
Experience/Specialized Skills (including language)
- Ability to work many evenings or weekends, as required.
- Proficiency in preparing briefings, talking points, presentations, and proposals for the President, and for internal and external purposes.
- Emotionally intelligent, discreet, reliable, and extraordinarily organized.
- Ability to manage several high-levels projects at once, while meeting all deadlines.
- Self-motivated to consistently execute actions at a high level.
- Ability to read /understand/interpret/train staff on governmental regulations.
- Experience in conducting company-wide strategic planning.
- Approaches assigned tasks with diligence and consistency, executing them to completion.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Experience in using multiple platforms other than M/S Suite.

If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
