Maintains in-depth knowledge and expertise in employee benefits services, makes recommendations on pending legislative actions regarding benefits, conduct benefits research, responds to benefits issues, and answer benefits queries.
Manages annual benefit renewal, provides input/advice on new plan options, gathers information, research benefit plan annual limit changes, if applicable, and prepares Open Enrollment employee communication.
Manages the configuration and data set-up of benefits deductions in the HRIS benefit section.
Analyzes the flow of employee benefits data, develops internal procedures, provides guidance to employees to facilitate the timely and accurate selection of benefits during the hire process and annual Open Enrollment.
Ensures compliance with state and federal laws and recommends new processes to ensure the Bank's compliance with such changes. Maintains related policies and procedures.
Process monthly payment for all insurance carriers. Audits invoices to ensure accurate coverage and employee deductions.
Verifies documents necessary for employee benefit enrollment in the various plans or termination of coverage.
Ensures accurate of employee benefits related records, related correspondence, procedures, forms and Summary Plan descriptions.
Works closely with Payroll team to ensure compliance, verifies employee deduction adjustments due to employee life event benefit changes.
Ensures COBRA compliance including timely informing employees of post-employment benefits and processing the applicable information in AMERIFLEX for Cobra notices/package to be sent. Keep record of Cobra participants and received credit payments from AMERIFLEX.
Maintains the annual Benefits Guide up to date for distribution to candidates and new hires, conducts benefit orientation, answers employee benefit questions or meets one on one on benefits related matters.
Acts as liaison between the bank, insurance carrier and broker.
Reconciles GL accounts for, FSA Health, Dependent Care, CRA Parking/Transit and HRA reimbursement Accounts.
Handles Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation Plan (NQDC), annual census, eligible employee's enrollment and terminations. Set up annual deduction codes in UltiPro. Upload each payroll's contribution into the MyDeferral site.
Handle the Executive LTD individual plan (with Standard Insurance Company), prepares annual census to determine if new participants will need to be enrolled.

Reports worker's compensation injuries to carrier, coordinates medical care and time off, if needed
Coordinates leave of absences (FMLA) and/or ADA accommodations, sending appropriate letters and applicable forms and information to affected employees and following company and Federal guidelines.
Monitors 401(k) Plan data file feed submition to Fidelity. Update any discrepancies in the Plan Sponsor web site as needed.
Calculate annual 401(k) True-up match for prior plan year during month of January of new plan year. Upload file and submit funds as applicable in the Plan sponsor site.
Prepare the ACA PCORI Fee for Self-Insured Medical Plan, due annually before July 31st.
