Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring an Operations Manager to support our Manufacturing team in La Vergne, TN. As an Operations Manager, you will manage the overall operations to optimize production and quality while reducing cost, encouraging and developing assigned members of leadership, and working to continually improve the status quo. This role will oversee multiple manufacturing processes and packaging operations through hands-on leadership and will ensure departments are meeting expectations through building credibility, mastering products and manufacturing processes, evaluating Supervisors and Leads capabilities, and building and solidifying relationships with key managers. The Operations Manager supervises all associates, directly or indirectly, and takes responsibility of the assigned shifts day-to-day operations.

Schedule:

  • D Shift: Wednesday-Friday 7pm-7am + every other Saturday 7pm-7am

What You'll Need:

  • College degree or directly related year for year experience
  • 3 or years of management experience
  • 1 or years of manufacturing experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred
  • Independently identifies and drives improvement projects, bringing fresh ideas to enhance operations.
  • Servant-style leadership that prioritizes team success, fosters collaboration, and maintains strong communication with employees at all levels
  • Proven track record of driving safety initiatives

What You'll Do:

  • Manage human resources, materials and equipment necessary for the daily production and shipping of books to LSI customers, including but not limited to, order routing, material requisitioning, shift staffing, and quality control
  • Coordinate with other production departments to resolve customer complaints, rush orders and meet client needs
  • Oversee and direct supervisors on assigned shift
  • Compose and approve associate evaluations and maintain accurate attendance/time records; recommending disciplinary measures, as needed
  • Interview applicants, approve hiring decision and oversee training
  • Ensure that safety and hazardous material guidelines are followed by associates at all times
