Requisition ID:75314 Description This position is for a co-op in filter design team at Skyworks Irvine Site. You'll be working as part of an elite team of RF professionals creating the technology for next-generation cellular handsets and other wireless communication devices and applications. Your job function will focus primarily on the improving the design efficiency of acoustic filters, including SAW and BAW technology, for RF front-end modules. Key Responsibilities: Implement and recommend data-driven to analyze our BAW resonators/filters, while following the advice given. Design automation implement to improve the filter design efficiency regarding data plots, etc. Work closely with filter design team, and internal IT/modeling team to bridge the request from filter design team and implement in the design tool/utility/methodology. Required Qualifications: Experience with the design, development, and software implementation of complex mathematical algorithms. Knowledge of statistics and machine learning methods. Coursework in the theory and applications of circuit design/acoustic filter. Great communication skills and ability to understand requests from filter design team. Quick learner and ability to keep up with the cutting-edge technology. Preferred Qualifications: Currently pursuing a degreein Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related field. Ability to develop stand-alone engineering tools/scripts via Python and/or MATLAB. Understanding of cellular RF systems The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
