Job Description Summary: The Cloud Engineer is a member of a team delivering cloud capabilities to the Company's owners, customers, and partners within the organization. The Cloud Engineer develop, implement, optimize, and maintain cloud-based solutions. You will be responsible for deploying and debugging cloud infrastructure, educating teams on new cloud initiatives, and ensuring the security of the cloud infrastructure. In addition, the Cloud Engineer will work with Cloud Architecture to build and support Cloud implementations that meet the Company's standards for performance, availability, quality, security, and maintainability. The Cloud Engineer must reside in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. Job Description
  • Collaborating with engineering, information security, and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
  • Support and maintain existing cloud implementations, modifying and improving as needed.
  • Educating teams on best practices and new cloud technologies and initiatives
  • Collaborating with Cloud architect to design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems
  • Implements strategic road maps for Private/Public Cloud infrastructure.
  • Implements and maintains the Private/Public Cloud infrastructure through established IT policies and procedures and ITIL framework for on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience Optimizing Cloud infrastructure utilizing cloud elasticity.
  • Experience configuring / maintaining cloud cost management.
  • Develops, enhances, and maintains orchestration and automation of cloud enablement tools.
  • Participates in technology evaluation and reengineering teams to support strategy-definition and continuous process improvement activities.
  • Participates in On-Call rotation schedule.
  • Interacting with Business and IT professionals providing cloud support, recommending solutions that fulfill needs
  • Identify and customize cloud platforms to scale our infrastructure to the cloud in an efficient and secure manner.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive work-related experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines, technologies, or processes related to the position.
  • 3+ years' experience with public cloud infrastructures.
  • Advanced understanding of troubleshooting techniques, recovery options, monitoring, and system protections for on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
  • Good understanding of networking, applications, and relational databases.
  • Good understanding of project management.
  • Ability to interpret and collate relevant data.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including leadership, diplomacy, and negotiation with customers and senior executives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 4+ years' experience with the public cloud infrastructures.
  • Advanced understanding of networking, applications, and relational databases.
  • Experience with supporting Azure/AWS IaaS, PaaS, and Office365 SaaS environments.
  • Experience with protecting and maintaining systems under HIPAA and PCI regulations.
  • Experience to automate the cloud resource deployments using the Terraforms and/or CloudFormation.
  • Experience in deploying applications in containerized environment.
  • Experience in architecting and implementing cloud-based solutions with robust Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery requirements - Azure Site Recovery (ASR) to help migrate from on-prem to Cloud and build DR in different region.
  • Experience with Azure AD and MS365 platform, including configuring policies, Intune management and Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory (Group Policies, ADFS, LDAP, Kerberos, DNS, DHCP, CA, Domains &Trust, AD Replication).
