Job Description	ECU Department of Campus Recreation and Wellness is currently seeking several Aquatic Lifeguards/Swim Instructors to play a vital part in promoting the well-being of the campus community. Lifeguard Responsibilities: Ensure the safety and security of all patrons in the aquatic facility Monitor activities in and around the pool to prevent accidents Enforce all facility rules and regulations Respond quickly to emergencies and perform lifesaving techniques, including first aid and CPR Conduct regular safety checks of pool equipment and facilities Assist with pool maintenance and cleaning tasks Provide excellent customer service to patrons Complete incident and accident reports as needed Participate in regular training and in-service sessions to maintain skills and certifications Swim Instructor Responsibilities: Teach swim lessons to individuals of all ages and skill levels Develop and implement lesson plans Provide feedback and encouragement to help participants improve their swimming skills Ensure the safety of all participants during swim lessons Communicate effectively with participants and their guardians Maintain records of participants' progress Assist with swim program promotion and registration Provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships with participants These roles offer flexible hours and the chance to gain valuable experience in supporting and managing aquatic programs and facilities. Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)	Qualifications: Must be in good academic standing Valid Lifeguard Certification (including CPR, First Aid, and AED) Experience in life-guarding and/or swim instruction preferred Ability to lift 50 lbs Flexible work availability, including early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and ECU sanctioned breaks Ability to work independently and as part of a team for a minimum of 8-12 hours per week
