ABOUT THIS ROLE

St. Michael's is hiring a Financial Audit Manager to support a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) client. As the Financial Audit Manager, you will serve as a team lead performing substantive testing on existing open obligations, provide support with obligation lifecycle management and reimbursable program management, and resolving audit and internal control issues associated with budgetary accounting. You will be in a client-facing role that will benefit from your previous Financial Analysis and Audit Readiness experience. Our core value of Excellence in Reputation will be paramount to this role as you will perform internal testing of UDO balances and report findings and results directly to the client.

WHO YOU ARE



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting OR Bachelor's Degree in another field with an active Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) certification.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience preferably within federal government financial management.
  • Experience auditing federal agencies financial statements or performing audits readiness work in the Department of Homeland Security as a government employee or contactor directly in support of an audit readiness task order.
  • Familiar with financial internal controls testing and reporting practices.
  • Experience supporting USCG or DHS in a finance/accounting capacity is preferable.
  • Active Public Trust Clearance is a plus.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Provide internal testing support for UDO Balance transactions.
  • Provide support to client customers requiring assistance with a variety of audit related activities and financial analysis.
  • Manage and monitor email in-box and other communications.
  • Perform policy and procedure analysis, research, and support special projects, update desktop guides and SOPs.
  • Compile monthly and quarterly testing results metrics and dashboards.
