Reasonable Accommodation Accessibility Systems Support

This position requires an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance to be considered.

This position requires an RA Accessibility Systems Support Specialist to ensure the seamless operation and maintenance of accessibility systems essential for reasonable accommodations across the Department.

This includes supporting the integration, troubleshooting, and training of assistive technology, enhancing accessibility services for employees with diverse needs. This role also collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to uphold accessibility and security standards.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Reasonable Accommodation Accessibility Systems Support: 125K - 135K

Pay commensurate with experience.

Reasonable Accommodation Accessibility Systems Support Responsibilities Include:



  • Manage and maintain accessibility software and hardware to ensure operational continuity and accessibility goals are met.
  • Facilitate integration of assistive technologies into existing systems, ensuring compatibility and seamless accessibility for employees requiring accommodations.
  • Process personal medical device requests, verify registration forms, and initiate tasks for DS review and
  • technical reporting.
  • Coordinate and draft cables for overseas medical device requests, obtaining approvals and notifying RSOs as needed.
  • Support reconsideration of denied requests through research on device modifications and coordinate with RSOs for reassessment.
  • Prepare decision memos and other supporting documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with accessible technology to minimize disruptions for users.
  • Develop and conduct training sessions on the usage of assistive technologies, tailored to meet the unique needs of individual users.
  • Partner with AD and other departmental units to advance accessibility enhancements and support cohesive, organization-wide accessibility services.
  • Create and update SOPs related to accessibility systems and device request processes
  • Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours, and/or required to work overtime, on occasion with no to little notice, to support mission requirements.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned



Reasonable Accommodation Accessibility Systems Support Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:



  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of Government experience.
  • A Top-Secret security clearance is required and may be upgraded to TS/SCI if necessary.
  • Advanced technical knowledge and proficiency in assistive technology systems and related software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively address and resolve technical issues.
  • Communicate complex technical information clearly to non-technical audiences, facilitating training with a customer-focused approach.
  • English Language proficiency both spoken and in writing across multiple linguistic registers and the ability to match and/or capture the necessary register.
  • Experience in accessibility support within Government settings is desirable.
  • Ability works independently and efficiently without close supervision.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
